Ship Loader Installation - Port of Brisbane

Ship loader, Port of Brisbane

The New Hope Group, a South-East Queensland based diversified energy company, undertook a rebuild of their Queensland Bulk Handling ship loader in 2012.

JPR was commissioned to undertake a major electrical upgrade, which included the design and installation of a new switch room, control cabinet and a complete rewire of the whole ship loader.

In November 2016, the ship loader sustained significant damage from a severe weather event. JPR was engaged to manage repairs, including disconnection of equipment on the boom while a new one was manufactured by JPR. Once the new boom was installed JPR was required to reinstall electrical devices, reconnect and recommission.
