Barret Burston Malting (BBM), Pinkenba malting plant
JPR completed the control system design, implementation and commissioning for a new 86,000 tonne per annum malting plant at Pinkenba, Brisbane.
The process included:
- a barley storage and cleaning building
- 2 sets of steeps
- 3 germination vessels
- a kiln
- a malt cleaning building and malt storage outloading equipment.
JPR also completed the electrical and switchboards design, along with the supply, installation and commissioning of this system. Ongoing support was also provided, including small projects, control system maintenance and improvements, ongoing process improvements and breakdown support.

CUB Yatala brewery

JPR has also provided ongoing support, service and breakdown support across the Rockwell and Siemens control systems.
Arnotts
JPR successfully delivered the automation of a new oiler system. The control system consists of Rockwell
Contrologix safety PLC together with six remote Ethernet IO racks with a mixture of normal and safety IO. Fifteen Rockwell PowerFlex VSDs and ten intelligent motor starters are controlled and monitored over ethernet.
Operator interaction with the control system is via a Rockwell Panelview. The ethernet network for the machine consists of eight managed Moxa switches.
HJ Heinz Company Australia, Golden Circle Northgate plant
JPR has provided ongoing service and support for over 20 years to the HJ Heinz Golden Circle Northgate
Plant.
Projects include safety systems, CIP systems, line control, machine control and ancillary services. The control system at Golden Circle consists of various Rockwell PLC series, various HMI Panels and CitectSCADA.
