Switchboard Manufacture
To support our many varied specialised field activities J & P Richardson Industries Pty. Ltd. have over the past 40 years developed a full Metal Clad Switchboard Manufacturing Facility including a modern Sheet Metal Fabrication Factory. Panels are produced in zinc anneal, stainless steel and marine grade aluminium. All painted products are powder coated and finished in our own in house powder coating line.
J & P Richardson Industries Pty. Ltd. engineering and design team have a full CAM/CAD system at their disposal and their close liaison with installation staff provides a uniquely efficient interfacing of field requirements and operational functions resulting in cost savings to our clients.
Having control over the total sheetmetal and electrical design and manufacturing guarantees our delivery schedules and allows us to meet urgent switchboard deliveries in an after fire or other unexpected damage situations.
Internal Quality Assurance procedures under the control of the Switchboard Engineering Manager ensure that our reputation for quality is maintained.
J & P Richardson Industries Pty. Ltd. hold their own "Type Test" certificates issued by the Sydney County Council for high fault and arc containment switchboards to Australian Standards and also own the intellectual property and manufacture a full range of switchboards previously manufactured by Kennedy Taylor.
The range of switchboards includes:
• Demcon MKIIA motor control centre incorporating demountable plug in or fixed type modules
• Drawcon motor control centre with fully withdrawable modules
• Flexicon style modular switchboard construction for large main power distribution switchboards
• Custom built switchboards
Demcon and Flexicon incorporate:
- Form 4 Segregation
- Limited and unlimited Arc
- Fault containment
- Short circuit levels up to 80KA for 1 sec & 50KA for 3secs
- Compliance with AS3439.1-2002
