J & P Richardson has set out to achieve high standards of health and safety in all areas of its day to day operations with an objective of eliminating work related injuries and illnesses.
These high standards achieved through both the company and the employees being committed and actively involved in all health and safety programs, while taking steps to assess and control risk in all aspects of our operations.
Our Health and Safety Management System has been third party accredited by NCSI (NATA) to the requirements of AS 4801:2001 which ensures compliance to all relevant legislation, the appropriate standards and statutory requirements, with an ongoing emphasis on the health and safety of our employees.
It is an obligation of all employees at J & P Richardson to adhere to and implement the requirements established by health and safety laws and guidelines. J & P Richardson management is committed to the training of its employees on a continual basis to improve health and safety awareness and to achieve its objectives and targets as a monitor for the performance of its health and safety programs.
Regard for the health and safety of our employees, the general public and the employees of our subcontractors is of the utmost importance and this responsibility is recognised at all levels within our organisation.
Environment
J & P Richardson is committed to conducting its business in a way that respects the environment, manages risk, and reduces its overall environmental impact.
We are focused on reducing the environmental footprint of our operations with continual improvement procedures to reduce resource use, waste management and carbon emissions from our fleet.
J & P Richardson has a responsibility to engage in sustainable practices by ensuring we maintain a committed level of environmental awareness in every operational aspect, thus protecting surrounding land and the community from possible environmental harm. Our Environmental Management System is third party accredited by NCSI (NATA) meeting all of the requirements set out in AS/NZS ISO 14001:2004.
The objective of our environmental policy is to undertake all of our activities in giving full consideration to the environmental responsibilities of our employees, our subcontractors, our products and services, our customers and the community.
Company Commitment
In today’s working climate safety is paramount in the operation of any company. J & P Richardson Industries Pty Ltd has embraced this commitment with the appointment of the designated safety personnel.
Safety Personnel
The Company has a Workplace Health and Safety Officer (WHSO) and an Electrical Safety Manager (ESM) on staff to monitor changes to the respective legislation and update Company documentation and procedures to reflect these changes as required.
The WHSO is assisted by five (5) accredited Safety Officers to ensure procedures are adhered to and the necessary documentation is completed.
The ESM is assisted by three (3) auditors to monitor compliance with electrical safety legislation.
Employee Involvement
All employees are encouraged to have input into the development of or change to procedures, JPR recognises that this process helps to encourage adherence by the end users.
