JPR Privacy Statement
J & P Richardson Industries Pty Ltd (JPR) is committed to protecting the privacy of all individuals. JPR is bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (“Act”) and the National Privacy Principles contained within that Act. All employees and officers of JPR are expected to comply with the Act and this Privacy Statement.
Information or opinions, which are collected, held, used or disclosed by JPR about an individual whose identity is apparent or can reasonably be ascertained, will be protected by the standards outlined in this Privacy Statement.
To deliver our commitment to privacy, we will:
• be bound by and comply with, the National Privacy Principals under the Act in relation to personal information;
• communicate this Privacy Statement to our employees and stakeholders to ensure awareness of their requirement to comply with our privacy standards and to anyone else who asks for it;

Use of personal information
Any personal details that you provide will be used for the purpose of dealing with your request, enquiry or application for employment. This may involve disclosing your personal information to companies within the JPR Group, or to service providers who assist us in operating our business. These organisations are required to comply with the principles of this Privacy Statement. Otherwise, JPR’s policy is not to disclose any personal information to any unrelated third party, except with your consent, or where we are required by law to do so.
Retention and Disposal of Information
JPR will only keep personal information that it needs for the purpose for which it was collected. JPR will dispose of such information when it has no further need to use it, or it is required by law to do so.

This Privacy Statement applies to all of our web pages at www.JPR.com.au (“the site”). It explains our practices with respect to collection and processing of any personal information that may be collected as a result of your use of the website (i.e. information from which an individual’s identity is apparent or can be reasonably ascertained).
What information does JPR collect via its web site?
This website allows you to contact JPR by submitting an enquiry form for the purpose of:
• requesting information about JPR; or
• making other enquiries.
By submitting an enquiry form, you will be providing us with certain personal information which may include your name, e-mail address and any other details you include in your form. This information is collected by us for the purpose of dealing with your request. We may not be able to deal with your request without this information. We do not collect any other personal information via the site. We do not use cookies, web tracking or other devices to store your personal information.
Employment Applications
Generally, the type of personal information we collect about you is the information included in your application, for example, your name, mailing address, telephone number, e-mail address, career history, education details or other information relating to your career.
In considering your application, we may also obtain personal information about you from third parties, for example, from your previous employers or nominated referees. We may also collect sensitive information about you such as information about your health (including any disability) or any criminal record that you may have.
We collect personal information for any one or more of the following purposes:
• Assess you for a position or positions with us or our related entities;
• Assess whether you are suitable to progress to each stage of the recruitment process for a vacant position; or
• Store your information for future job opportunities.
If you do not provide us with the information we seek, we will be unable to do one or more of the above.

• organisations that conduct competency or other similar tests;
• referees or previous employers;
• recruitment agencies or related entities acting on our behalf;
• our related entities;

If we engage third party contractors to perform services for us which involves handling personal information we will take reasonable steps to prohibit the contractor from using personal information except for the purposes for which it was supplied.

You are entitled to access any personal information that JPR holds about you , except in circumstances set out in the National Privacy Principles.
