Chair
Bronwyn Lightfoot
Bronwyn has been a Director of the Company since 1988. Bronwyn previously worked as a solicitor, practicing in the areas of corporate law and construction law. Immediately prior to joining the Company as an Executive Director in 2006, she worked as Senior Legal Counsel for an ASX listed company. Bronwyn was appointed Chairperson of the Board in 2007 on the retirement of Joe Richardson Snr. from that position.

Joe has 35 years experience in Electrical Contracting, ranging from Switchboard Manufacturing through to Industrial, Commercial and Mining projects.

Joe has been Managing Director for 10 years.

His technical ability and management skills ensure efficient co-ordination and successful completion of major projects.

Joe Richardson is one of the Electrical Industry’s innovative leaders.
His entrepreneurial flair and vision enabled the establishment and continued growth of the J & P Richardson family owned group of companies into a multi million dollar enterprise.

He has a firm commitment to the creation of new opportunities for the betterment of young Australians, and the economy as a whole.

Joe has some 50 years of experience in business, covering electrical engineering, manufacture of mechanical and electrical equipment, and electrical contracting.

He is an extremely charismatic man, who inspires colleagues to strive for the attainment of exceptionally high standards.

Steve Gibson

Steve began his career with Price Waterhouse Chartered Accountants. He joined the Company in 1996 as Management Accountant and has progressed through the roles of Chief Accountant, Company Secretary and
Director. Steve’s expertise lies in financial and accounting management.

Engineering Manager/Associate Director
Clayton Berlin

Clayton joined J & P Richardson Industries Pty Ltd directly from QUT in 1986. He is responsible for design, contract administration and project management work covering a wide variety of subjects including: PLC and SCADA software development and commissioning; industrial automation projects; municipal water and sewerage treatment and reticulation; overhead and underground electrical power reticulation for residential estates; control cubicles/switchboard and electrical circuit design.

Project Manager/Associate Director
Justin Read

Justin joined J & P Richardson Industries Pty Ltd in December 1994 as a graduate Electrical Engineer from the University of Queensland. In 2003 he took on the role of Project Manager, reporting to the Managing Director.

Justin’s responsibilities include assisting senior management in the administration of customer relations, staffing and other management matters; management of project teams including subcontractors to ensure the timely and satisfactory completion of projects in accordance with specified and legislative requirements; identification of potential projects; preparation of tenders for major projects and negotiations with customers.
